Summer Memories

Since March we’ve been running our People’s Perth campaign, in conjunction with The Courier, to celebrate Perth 800. Many of you have brought in fabulous pictures of major events in Perth over the years, and you have equally interesting stories to tell us!

Pictured here are some of the images brought in over the last three months (clockwise from top): Princess Elizabeth inspects the Black Watch in Perth with the Queen in 1946, Staff at Alexander Buses at Perth Station in 1954, The Black Watch receive the Freedom of the City in late 1940s, and a Perth Baptist Church Outing in the 1950s.

It’s not too late the get involved! Bring your pictures in on the first Saturday of every month between 11am and 3pm and tell us the story behind the images.
